by Norman Conquest
Directionally challenged voters and political elite are lost and can’t find the road map. Republicans must take stock soon. Some obvious tactical lessons obtain: 1) A battle of each against all does not lead to glory; 2) primary elections place the most important decisions in the hands of the least informed. But I suggest starting with a strategic review, not tactics. We must have a goal, a positive goal, and learn from error, whereas negative goals now drive our process. Until we agree on a destination, we will never know what direction to go or when we get there. I suggest goals, let’s say, of defending life, liberty and property, rather than goals of chasing away brown people and punishing those with whom we disagree.
Mr. Norman Conquest provides thought provoking political insight with a seriously sarcastic twist.
