 The Great Race isn’t just any road rally. It’s the oldest and most respected vintage-car rally in America — a precision pace race for carefully maintained classic cars built before 1970. Drivers from dozens of states arrive, vintage vehicles roll out, and communities along the route get a front-row seat to automotive history. 

 

This year, Owensboro gets its moment. I teamed up with Governor Andy Beshear to officially welcome The Great Race to our city. We believe in the value of history. We believe in community. We believe in showcasing Kentucky — and Owensboro — on a big stage.

  Malibu Jack’s Indoor Theme Park Brings Major Tourism Investment to Owensboro Tourism growth happens when communities continue building experiences that attract visitors and strengthen the local economy. Owensboro, Kentucky is seeing that momentum with the arrival of Malibu Jack’s Indoor Theme Park , a major family entertainment attraction bringing an $18.3 million private investment and more than 100 jobs to the community. A statewide tourism development report from The Lane Report highlighted the project as one of several major tourism investments approved across Kentucky.
