Owensboro continues to build national momentum as more than 300 travel planners and destination representatives arrive for the Heartland Travel Showcase.

 

The event, recently covered by the Messenger-Inquirer, brings planners from across the United States and Canada to experience Owensboro firsthand—its venues, hospitality, safety, and conference capabilities.

According to Mark Calitri, president of the Owensboro-Daviess County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the showcase represents more than a single event.

 

“This is a tremendous opportunity for Owensboro,” Calitri said. “We’re demonstrating that Owensboro can successfully host national-caliber conferences and meetings.”

 

As communities compete for meetings and group travel, Owensboro is stepping confidently onto a national stage—combining infrastructure, investment, and momentum.
