Owensboro Burger Week is back March 5–14, and the numbers tell the story.

Burger Week was created in 2021 to support local restaurants during one of the toughest periods they’d ever faced. Since then, it has grown into one of the most anticipated local events of the year.

Based on past performance, this year is expected to bring 40+ restaurants together and push burger sales beyond 60,000 once again. That kind of participation shows what happens when a community rallies behind its local businesses.

Tourism isn’t just about visitors from out of town. It’s also about giving residents a reason to show up, try something new, and support the places that make a city feel alive.

Burger Week does exactly that.

Events like this strengthen local restaurants, create buzz, and reinforce why Owensboro continues to punch above its weight when it comes to destination marketing and community-driven success.

The scoreboard never lies.
